What Is ‘Kundalini’
Kundalini is a Sanskrit word meaning coiled-up energy. The idea is that energy lies coiled at the base of the spine. With Kundalini yoga, you aim to wake up this sleeping energy and raise it through the seven chakras to activate your higher self. You are able to reconnect with your innermost spirit and transcendence. In addition to waking up your higher self, Kundalini can help you naturally address physical pain and fatigue. We offer 90-minute Kundalini Yoga & Sound Healing Classes each week. Classes include pranayama (breathwork), a kriya (a specific set of physical actions), and close with a 30 min deep relaxation of sound healing to assist in the integration of its benefits into your daily life.
How Our Yoga Lincoln CA Classes Work
The first thing you need to know about kundalini yoga is that it's done through meditation. The second thing is that it's an energizing form of yoga, so you might feel better than ever afterward. A typical kundalini class starts with chanting and breathing exercises, followed by a series of yoga postures or asanas. Our classes focus on strength training, flexibility, or alignment exercises for the spine and pelvis. While classes are not defined as difficult, some kriyas can be challenging - we always encourage you to do your best. This is completely normal and will get easier as you continue your practice.
