Why do you teach yoga?
I teach yoga to share this life-changing practice with others. Yoga helps me connect to my breath, so when life gets challenging, I can manage my energy. The world would be a better place if we all tapped into our breath in order to calm our nervous systems.
How long have you been practicing yoga?
My yoga journey began in the early 2000s with a college course and a gym membership. In 2015, I discovered hot yoga, and I was instantly in love. That’s when I truly began to immerse myself in the practice.
What can I expect in your class?
In my class, you can expect space to go inward to connect to yourself. I offer time to be what is, allowing you to explore your physical, emotional, and mental state just as you are, in a judgment-free environment.
What kind of music do you love to share in class?
In my vinyasa class, I offer mostly instrumental beats. As we begin to flow, faster-pace music is played. In my yin, classes, I love binaural beats and peaceful ambient music to help your calm your mind and connect to your body.
What’s your favorite Asana(pose)?
My favorite pose is child’s pose. Child’s Pose helps foster introspection and mindfulness, and offers a moment to ground, feel, and connect.
